Gorgeous lustrous translucent pink crystals of calcite set on a small amount of matrix. These are actually large flattened rhombohedral crystals measuring to 4.5 cm in width. An outstanding well crystallized example from this classic Austrian locality! Highly lustrous mirror-bright dark green prismatic terminated crystals of epidote to 5.2 cm in length are forming an aesthetic grouping with minor fibrous green actinolite. No damage and shows well all around 360 degrees. This is actually from recent collecting activity at this old locality. Size: 7.2 x 4.6 x 2.3 cm. Ref: The Mineralogical Record 17(3), 167-181. Size: 4.8 x 2.1 x 1.9 cm. Ref: Rocks & Minerals: 80(1), 46-57. W2945161) Wulfenite - Mežica (Miess), Slovenia Size: 8.0 x 5.2 x 3.4 cm (small cabinet) Price: $ 1200
A fine old-timer consisting of a 8.0 x 5.2 x 3.4 cm white matrix, this liberally scattered with carmel colored blocky lustrous crystals of wulfenite to 1.0 cm in size. Very minor rubbing is present to a few crystals; overall I think in very good condition damage-wise. Very choice European small cabinet specimen! Z9508208) Zoisite var.
